ENGR-E 501 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER ENGINEERING (3 CR.)
This course covers computer engineering and parallel computer architecture for HPC in intelligent systems engineering. Topics include multi-core processors, cache coherence, data centric computing, SIMD, GPU, FPGA, accelerators, and heterogeneous computing architecture. The course will focus on fundamental parallel computer architectures, evaluation and the tradeoffs in design, and their use.
